stealth bomber hit and run # 33
situation = a small camp. a crow interceptor that i had my sights on for a long time is orbiting the gate for quite a while with fighter drones escorting him. i gambled that he was asleep at the wheel. i gambled correctly.
target = crow interceptor
target’s mindset = “weee orbiting the gate with these aswome fighter drones around me!”
target’s actions = was orbiting the gate for quite some time. alot of interceptor pilots fall asleep at the wheel during long droughts of inactivity.
result;
1] target is in his pod seconds after i decloak and initiate the alpha-strike sequence.
2] i regret for leaving right away. i should have stayed there and popped the expensive fighter drones, although i am not sure how those behaive once their escort is destroyed.
3] it was a very satisfying kill. i have been on a streak of stealth bomber kills and it was refreshing to pop a nice interceptor for a change. having said that, i do look for soft targets and stealth bombers are usually more expensive that interceptors so they take priority.
