Fanfest: Sisters of EVE and PvP Tournament registration

Thursday, January 1st, 1970

The real heroes of EVE are not the miners, fighters or traders; it’s the men, women and children putting up with a friend or family member who plays EVE. Last year we started the Sisters of EVE offer for those of you who wish to bring your friend, husband or girlfriend and as it was such an appreciated thing we’re going to do the same thing this year. We have now started selling the Sisters of EVE Access Pass. Keep in mind that you have to have a regular Fanfest Access Pass to purchase this, and availability of the Sisters of EVE Access Passes are limited, so get yours now!

Additionally, we have opened up registration for the Fanfest PVP Tournament.

EVE Fanfest 2008 - PVP Tournament and Jita

Thursday, January 1st, 1970

Yet again you will have the opportunity to blow stuff up in front of a big crowd at the Fanfest, as you read in a dev blog earlier, there is a new element to the tournament - mining! We have now put up the full set of rules for this year’s tournament which you can see here. For discussions and questions regarding the tournament, please check this thread.

We have also revised the Jita area this year. Jita is an area at the Fanfest where you will be able to gather your corporation or alliance, or why not your militia if you’re into Factional Warfare? Instead of having you sign up before the Fanfest you will be able to rent an office directly at Fanfest, just like in EVE! All information you ever wanted about renting an office in Jita can be found right here.

New EVE Store, New Ship Models - The Wait Is Almost Over!

Thursday, January 1st, 1970

This Friday, August 29th, the EVE Store will be disabled, but don’t worry, within
48 hours after that we will roll out a brand new store* to satisfy all your
needs for EVE paraphernalia. The new store will be based in North America and
our new carrier will be FedEx, allowing us to offer a reliable shipping service
with the ability to track your packages.

The new store will
herald in the arrival of the long-awaited Collectible Battleship Models!

The EVE Online Battleship Models are constructed from a solid resin foundation
and are mounted, ready for display, on a base emblazoned with the associated
faction logo. The meticulous reproduction of EVE Online’s ships is achieved
through a combination of plastic detailing, cast metal components, and hand
painted accents. The end result is a striking replica of the very ships soaring
through space in New Eden.

The four Tech I Battleships will sell for 124.99 USD each, and the four Faction
Battleships are sold as a set for 499.96 USD. We’re offering a special 15%
discount on all ships ordered by September 30th.

Now you can truly play EVE Offline, though you may get some strange looks from
friends and family!

* = Due to the upgrade and change, a new login will be required to order from the store.

Exploit notification

Thursday, January 1st, 1970

The practice of insta-joining/leaving warring corporations for the purpose of surprising war targets, or getting them in trouble with CONCORD, is considered an exploit from here on. Reports of this will be investigated on a case by case basis and warnings will be issued at the discretion of the GM. Repeated incidents may result in bans on accounts involved.
